BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING

Public comments are an opportunity for the public to address the Commission with any issues or concerns they may have. All remarks should be directed to the Chairman and not to individual commissioners, staff, or citizens in attendance. Members of the public shall not make inappropriate or offensive comments. Any individual who violates the rules of decorum may be removed from the meeting. At this time the Board will not comment nor will the Board take any action on the comments...…. speakers are limited to 3 minutes.
Items under this action were discussed at the public Work Session on Thursday, June 29, 2023 (now available for view on www.carrollcountyga.com) and will be presented for consideration as a single item. Only one vote will be taken.
Consideration of the Sheriff’s Office request to purchase the Tek 84 Intercept Body Scanner using Capital Projects funds in the amount of $140,000.

Consideration of the Sheriff’s Office request to purchase ten (10) patrol vehicles using SPLOST funds in the amount of $364,150.

Consideration of the purchase of two (2) Code Enforcement vehicles utilizing Capital Project funds in amount of $86,780.00.

Consideration of an Agreement with Contour Engineering, LLC to provide Special Inspections and Materials Testing Services for the Carroll County New Administration Building located at 423 College Street, Carrollton, Georgia, and authorize the Chairman to negotiate, execute and take all actions necessary in connection with the Agreement

Consideration of an Agreement with Contour Engineering, LLC to provide Special Inspections and Materials Testing Services for the new Villa Rica Fire Station No. 9 located at 746 West Bankhead Highway, Villa Rica, and authorize the Chairman to negotiate, execute and take all actions necessary in connection with the Agreement

Consideration to authorize a Grant Agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s 2022 Safe Streets for All (SS4A) grant in the amount of $400,000 and the local match to be paid by the County in the amount of $100,000, said grant funds to be used to develop a comprehensive safety action plan; and authorize the Chairman to execute the Agreement and take necessary actions in connection with the Grant

Consideration of Resolution to accept Second Tranche of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds in the amount of $11,653,519.50 and approve the initial plan for expenditures authorized under the Act
