PUBLIC COMMENTS

Public comments are an opportunity for the public to address the Commission with any issues or concerns they may have.  All remarks should be directed to the Chairman and not to individual commissioners, staff, or citizens in attendance.  Members of the public shall not make inappropriate or offensive comments.  Any individual who violates the rules of decorum may be removed from the meeting.  At this time the Board will not comment nor will the Board take any action on the comments...…. speakers are limited to 3 minutes.

Devine, General Dynamics, as representative of Verizon Wireless’s Request (Application C-22-04-03) for a Conditional Use Permit for a Cell Tower, Lying in Land Lot 203 of the 11th District, Parcel # 051-0055, Located at 1505 Stoney Point Road, Roopville. (Property is located in Commission District 5)

Consideration of Owner/Applicant: Clint and Amberly Nalley’s Request (Application C-22-04-05) for a Conditional Use Permit for an Expansion of a Special Event Facility, Lying in Land Lot 90 of the 6th District, Parcel # 150-0003, Located at 2715 NE Hickory Level Road, Villa Rica. (Property is located in Commission District 3)

Items under this action were discussed at the public Work Session on Thursday, April 28, 2022 (now available for view on www.carrollcountyga.com) and will be presented for consideration as a single item.  Only one vote will be taken.

Public Works - Equipment Purchase

Consideration to purchase a Self-Propelled Broom from Reynolds-Warren Equipment priced for $92,463,, which includes a 2 year / 2000-hour warranty and an additional 3 year warranty for the Public Works Department



10.II.

Buffalo Creek Tech Park - Seal Coat

Consideration of the Development Authority of Carroll County’s request to seal coat a section of roadway at the Buffalo Creek Tech Park for the new West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) campus for $25,985 by Sunbelt Asphalt Maintenance, LLC

Oak Shade Road - Abandonment

Consideration of a Resolution to begin the process of abandoning 0.54 miles of a portion of Oak Shade Road lying in Land Lot 151, District 6 of Carroll County

Public Work Position

Consideration to create two (2) full time light equipment operator poistions for the purpose of maintaining the mowing of right of ways in the northwest corner of the County

Parks Position

Consideration to create one (1) full time administrative assistant position for McIntosh Park


10.VI.

Animal Shelter Fence

Consideration to approve installation of additional outdoor run and fencing at the Animal Shelter for the purpose of preventing dogs from escaping by West Georgia Gate & Door for $20,770 to be paid with grant funds

Consideration of an Intergovernmental Agreement between Carroll County and the City of Villa Rica relating to the Eastside Tax Allocation District
