PUBLIC COMMENTS

Public comments are an opportunity for the public to address the Commission with any issues or concerns they may have.  All remarks should be directed to the Chairman and not to individual commissioners, staff, or citizens in attendance.  Members of the public shall not make inappropriate or offensive comments.  Any individual who violates the rules of decorum may be removed from the meeting.  At this time the Board will not comment nor will the Board take any action on the comments...…. speakers are limited to 3 minutes.

The applicant or anyone speaking in favor of the application/request shall be allowed a TOTAL of ten minutes to present their request. Anyone opposed to the request shall also have a TOTAL of ten minutes to present their opposition. (If there are multiple speakers for or against an application, ask them to please be mindful to allow for others to speak, should they wish to do so.) Anyone speaking for or against the application shall be allowed a TOTAL of five minutes to speak in rebuttal.

Consideration of Owner/Applicant: Ken and Alyson Nesbitt’s Request (Application C-22-11-01) for a Conditional Use Permit for a Secondary Detached Dwelling, Lying in Land Lot 39 of the 11th District, Parcel # 095-0090, Located at 851 Shirey Dairy Road, Carrollton. (Property is located in Commission District 5)

Financial Recap for November

Fire Department-Refurbished Pumper

Consideration of proposal from Williams Fire Apparatus to Refurbish a pumper engine for $276,234.00, using insurance settlement proceeds for Engine 5 and to authorize the Chairman to execute the agreement and to take all other actions to implement the terms of the agreement.

Carroll County Crisis Response Team Lease

Consideration to approve lease with Carroll County Mental Health Advocates Inc. for space in Carroll County Fire Station Number 16, 680 Tumlin Lake Road, Villa Rica, Georgia and to authorize the Chairman to execute the agreement and to take all other actions to implement the terms of the agreement.

Consideration of bids for fencing and concrete for the Temple Convenience Center and to authorize the Chairman to execute the agreements and to take all other actions to implement the terms of the agreements.

Recycling, Waste Reduction, and Diversion Grant

Consideration to approve acceptance of a Georgia Department of Natural Resources Environmental Protection Division Grant in the amount of $46,695 with an in-kind match by the County in the amount of $11,500, for a total of $58,195; and to authorize the Chairman to execute the grant agreement and to take all other actions to implement the terms of the agreement.

Recreation Department ABI Force Purchase

Consideration to approve purchase of ABI Force infield machine and infield grooming equipment from Tri-State Pump & Control, Inc. for $31,063.89 with SPLOST funds and to authorize the Chairman to execute the agreement and to take all other actions to implement the terms of the agreement.

RFP For Construction Manager at Risk On Villa Rica Fire Station

Consideration of the selection of Caliber 1 Construction, Inc. as the Construction Manager at Risk for the fire station at 746 Bankhead Highway, Villa Rica, Georgia to replace the current Fire Station No. 9, and to authorize the Chairman to negotiate and execute the Agreement and General Conditions, and take all other actions necessary for the project.
