PUBLIC COMMENTS

Public comments are an opportunity for the public to address the Commission with any issues or concerns they may have.  All remarks should be directed to the Chairman and not to individual commissioners, staff, or citizens in attendance.  Members of the public shall not make inappropriate or offensive comments.  Any individual who violates the rules of decorum may be removed from the meeting.  At this time the Board will not comment nor will the Board take any action on the comments...…. speakers are limited to 3 minutes.

The applicant or anyone speaking in favor of the application/request shall be allowed a TOTAL of ten minutes to present their request. Anyone opposed to the request shall also have a TOTAL of ten minutes to present their opposition. (If there are multiple speakers for or against an application, ask them to please be mindful to allow for others to speak, should they wish to do so.) Anyone speaking for or against the application shall be allowed a TOTAL of five minutes to speak in rebuttal.

Consideration of Owner/Applicant: James R. LeBlanc’s Request (Application C-22-03-01) for a Conditional Use Permit for a Secondary Dwelling, Lying in Land Lot 55 of the 5th District, Parcel # 175-0034, Located at 688 Cross Plains Hulett Road, Carrollton. (Property is located in Commission District 5)

CONSENT AGENDA

Items under this action were discussed at the public Work Session on Thursday, March 31, 2022 (now available for view on www.carrollcountyga.com) and will be presented for consideration as a single item.  Only one vote will be taken.

10.I.

Fire Rescue – Light/Siren Package for Vehicles

Consideration to purchase emergency lighting, sirens and required reflective lettering for three Ford 150 Response Vehicles for the Fire Rescue Department for $28,788.00.

Fairfield Plantation Fire Rescue - Equipment Donation

Consideration of the purchase from Motorola of six portable fire rescue portable radios and attachments with a five year warranty in an amount of $29,850.15; and the donation of said equipment to the Fairfield Fire Department to be used in accordance with the Mutual Aid Agreement, with a condition that the  equipment will revert back to the County if the equipment ever ceases to be utilized for the intended purposes; and to authorize the Chairman and staff to take all actions necessary to implement said actions including execution of necessary contracts

Consideration to purchase a Caterpillar CAT Model 926 Waste Hauler from Yancey for the Solid Waste Department in the amount of $225,347.00

Consideration to Approve the Establishment of a “Streetlight Special Tax District” for the payment and maintenance of streetlights in Indian Lake Phase III (Blackfoot Trail)

Consideration of approval of ten positions funded by the Judicial Branch ARPA Grant.
