Public comments are an opportunity for the public to address the Commission with any issues or concerns they may have. All remarks should be directed to the Chairman and not to individual commissioners, staff, or citizens in attendance. Members of the public shall not make inappropriate or offensive comments. Any individual who violates the rules of decorum may be removed from the meeting. At this time the Board will not comment nor will the Board take any action on the comments...….speakers are limited to 3 minutes.

The applicant or anyone speaking in favor of the application/request shall be allowed a TOTAL of ten minutes to present their request. Anyone opposed to the request shall also have a TOTAL of ten minutes to present their opposition. (If there are multiple speakers for or against an application, ask them to please be mindful to allow for others to speak, should they wish to do so.) Anyone speaking for or against the application shall be allowed a TOTAL of five minutes to speak in rebuttal.
Request for Conditional Use for Special Event Facility on ten (10) acres, zoned Agricultural, located at 185 Codner Road, Whitesburg. Parcel #206-0105, Land Lot 135 of the 3rd District. Owner/Applicant: Carol and Richard Sexton. Commission District 5.
Request to Rezone from Agricultural to Residential, 2.39 acres out of a 12.08 acre tract, located at 1035 Harlan Lane Road, Villa Rica. Parcel #167-0224, Land Lot 254 of the 6th District. Owner: James Toby and Krista D. Shadix. Applicant: Toby Shadix. Commission District 3.
Consideration of Judge Tom Parmer’s request to accept 2 grant awards from the Council of Accountability Court Judges. 1) $20,680 for the Family Treatment Court Program to pay for the part-time case manager to be full-time through the end of this budget year, to pay for additional contract counseling services, and to pay for additional drug testing supplies. 2) $19,954 for the Juvenile Wellness Court Program to pay for the part-time case manager to be full-time through the end of the budget year.

Consideration of the Sheriff’s Office request to purchase ten (10) vehicles, fully equipped, for a total cost of $498,000 to be paid out of SPLOST

Consideration to approve the purchase of Emergency Call Works hardware and software upgrade from Motorola for $96,177.07 and an optional extended warranty in the amount of $9,383.38, to be paid from ARPA funds if permitted or otherwise from SPLOST, and to authorize the Chairman to execute the agreement with such changes approved by the Chairman and the County Attorney

Consideration to approve the purchase of the recording system upgrade from Quality Recording Solutions, LLC dba Eventide for $61,645, to be paid from ARPA funds if permitted or otherwise from SPLOST, and to authorize the Chairman to execute the agreement with such changes approved by the Chairman and the County Attorney
